Background
The Expat Centre Maastricht Region (ECMR) is a service point primarily focused on expats (EU and non-EU) and their families who have recently moved to South Limburg. Besides offering personal consultations, the ECMR provides a Maastricht Region Manual and a website full of practical tips in English. They also organize events and workshops in English on topics such as tax returns, buying a house, or starting a self-employed activity.

- What do internationals and cross-border workers think about living and working in the Maastricht region?
- What is the family composition of internationals and cross-border workers?
- How integrated do internationals and cross-border workers feel, and what has helped them integrate?
- To what extent is the Expat Centre Maastricht Region known among internationals and cross-border workers?
Methods
From September 17 to October 31, an online questionnaire was distributed through various channels. The same questionnaire was distributed among the English-speaking members of the Maastricht Forum (266 members) and the resident panel of the municipality of Maastricht.
