The data used for Maastricht in Cijfers is partially based on public data that can be found on the internet. You can read what data we use below.

  • The Centraal Bureau voor Statistiek (CBS, central bureau for statistics) publishes data about the Netherlands on StatLine. StatLine is the databank of the CBS.

  • The web page data.politie.nl is the dataportal of the Dutch police. Through this dataportal, the Dutch police publishes data about registered crimes, nuisance, Dutch police performance and business operations of the Dutch police.

  • The Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten (VNG, association of Dutch municipalities) publishes data about Dutch municipalities on the web page: waarstaatjegemeente.nl (in Dutch).
